Find your way through difficult decisions

Making a hard decision is often stressful and produces strong emotional reactions — even when you already know, rationally, what the right answer is. Therapy offers a neutral place to explore what’s really going on and build a realistic path forward.

A Neutral Place to Think

A space to think it through

You may already know, rationally, what the right choice is — and still find yourself unable to follow through, or acting in a way that isn’t quite you. Simple awareness rarely equals change on its own.

What helps is a neutral setting to explore the different parts of yourself, understand the dynamics underneath the stuck point, and build a realistic method for getting from where you are to where you want to be.

Meet Your Psychologist

Thomas Albers, Ph.D.

I provide a neutral setting where you can explore the various aspects of yourself and gain understanding of the dynamics involved — making goals, as well as methods to achieve them, is the road toward success.

I practice Cognitive-Behavioral and Direct Decision Therapy. In relationship work, I teach communication, connection, and assertiveness skills — I believe respect, how thoughts and feelings get spoken, and body language are central to most communication.

I’ve been in practice in the Chino Hills / Diamond Bar area since 1988 — 43 years and counting. I believe the success of this practice speaks for the quality of the work.
